Dypsis sp..? This species is yet to be described, it grows very well in the subtropics although very slowly, it needs little attention once established and seems to be quite drought tolerant, it can be grown in the full sun or shade, this species has now been in the ground for over 17 years..! They are just starting to grow a little quicker now that they are larger, the petiole of this species has a thick brownish to golden tomentum
