Phoenicophorium borsigianum |
Phoenicophorium borsigianum This species comes from the Seychelles Islands, I have found this species is best suited to the tropics and does not like temps lower than 6 to 7C, the juveniles of this species are very attractive with almost orange coloured entire leaves, also as they mature they tend to lose there spines it’s a very attractive palm well worth a try in a protected area although they will grow in full sun out in the open but look there best out of the wind. These are some habitat photos from Philip Arrowsmith. |
